I was born on February 23, 1943, and was reared in Blounts Creek. I graduate from S. W. Snowden High School in 1961 and joined the United States Air Force. While stationed near Shreveport, Louisiana, I married the former Dorothy Florence in 1965. Dorothy and I returned to Blounts Creek in June 1989.
