Over Three Hundred Years of Black People in Blounts Creek, Beaufort County, North Carolina

I was born on February 23, 1943, and was reared in Blounts Creek. I graduate from S. W. Snowden High School in 1961 and joined the United States Air Force. While stationed near Shreveport, Louisiana, I married the former Dorothy Florence in 1965. Dorothy and I returned to Blounts Creek in June 1989. When I was a boy, my grandfather Orlando Keys, (picture on the front cover of Book 1; 1886-1968), would tell me stories about our family history. These stories, perhaps more than anything else motivated me to write this book. I dedicate this book to him.
